Green Island aka Nagbalasang Cove - Capones Island Adventure
Last May 21-22, 2011, my friends Jasper and Budz had organized an event trip to one of tourist destination in Zambales. A hidden beach destination beside the famous Silanguin Cove twice the size of anawangin with pine trees, long white sand bars and an island they named "Green Island" also know as Nagbalasang Cove is a 2 hour boat ride from Pundaquit. Along the way you will see Anawangin Cove, Talisay and Nagsasa Cove.
Day 1
Mheann and I confirmed to join the said event on that same day. With no preparation, we pack our things and proceeded to the meet up place with Cherry. When we arrived on Jolibee Junction Alabang, nobody was around. We have waited for a couple of minute and then Clawds showed up and called us. Sir Benj also was there waiting for her wife. Sadly he wasn't able to join the event because of some matters to do. Jasper and Budz were already there. While waiting for the others, Budz opened a bottle of Emperador Lights. We drink and have a little conversations with Sir Benj. At around 12 midnight, everybody was on board on our service. Our official transporter is Kuya Rey. We drove past 12 midnight and headed to pick up Josh and KR in Quezon City and Mica in Sta. Rita Bulacan.
We arrived in Olongapo at 5:30 in the morning and had to stop by in Subic - Baraca to buy fish(Yellow Fin) for our overnight stay on the beach and also had our breakfast for the day.
At past 7 in the morning, we arrived in San Antonio, Zambales, our last stop over and buy things.
We arrived in Pundaquit at around 8 in the morning. Jasper and Budz settle for our boat ride. Everybody is praparing for a 2 hour boat ride from Pundaquit up to Green Island.
We board the boat past 8 in the morning and headed to Green Island. The boat ride went smoothly and luckily we didn't encountered strong waves. The sea are very calm and the weather is fine. Along the way you can see the coves of Anawangin, Talisay and Nagsasa. It was almost 10 in the morning when we arrived the island. The place was beautiful, the water are calm. You can see the peaks of Mt. Cinco Picos from there and the famous Suilangin Cove.
When we arrived, we then proceeded to the beach camp and have out tents pitched. Jasper and Budz prepared our lunch for the day.
And by 12 noon we ate our lunch and our "Free Time" starts at 2 in the afternoon. Mheann, Budz and I decided to roam around the island. The place is beautiful and very peaceful unlike Anawangin, it is not crowded. We were the only group in that island.
